Former President Joe Biden has slammed President Donald Trump’s early actions in office, calling his approach to Russia a form of “modern-day appeasement” and sharply criticizing reported pressure on Ukraine to surrender territory in exchange for peace.
Biden argued that making concessions to Vladimir Putin would only embolden further aggression and undermine international stability. He also criticized Trump’s past suggestions about acquiring territories like Greenland, Panama, or even parts of Canada, calling such proposals reckless and damaging to America’s global credibility.
Reflecting on Trump’s first 100 days of his new term, Biden stated there was “nothing triumphant” about the administration’s start and stressed that America’s strength has always depended on strong alliances, not isolationist deals or territorial fantasies.
