Veteran actor Dick Van Dyke allegedly suffered injuries after losing control of his vehicle and crashing it in Malibu.
According to TMZ, the 97-year-old actor’s automobile slipped in the rain on Wednesday morning and crashed into a fence.
He had a concussion and facial and oral bleeding from the event.
The Hollywood legend was driving his Lexus LS 500 when police came, TMZ said.
Paramedics attended to him right then and then.
As far as anyone knows, Van Dyke was not brought to the hospital but rather was picked up by a friend and driven home.
Law enforcement officials have filed paperwork with the DMV demanding that the “Mary Poppins” star retake his driving test.
The officers who investigated the collision reportedly concluded that drugs and alcohol were not factors.
The Post has asked for feedback from the actor’s camp.
Nearly ten years have passed since Van Dyke was rescued from his flaming Jaguar following another vehicle collision in Los Angeles.
Unaware that his car was on fire in the middle of the highway, the actor had to be rescued.
The car “simply started making a noise,” he told TMZ at the time. “At first, I thought I had a flat.
Van Dyke stated, “there was a fireman, a nurse, and a cop just happened to be passing by,” which he credits with his safe exit. “I have a caretaker.
