WHOA! potential, rumored, maybe-shot-down-the-rumors, Senate candidate Kid Rock received an amazing endorsement today from former New York Governor George Pataki, one of the original 17 GOP presidential candidates in the 2016 election.
Kid Rock is exactly the kind of candidate the GOP needs right now. #KidRockForSenate @KidRock

Pataki served three terms as governor of New York state and dropped out of the last presidential election on December 29th, 2015.
As reported by The Daily Wire:
As Politico has reported, the Senate Leadership Fund, a super PAC formed during the 2016 election backed by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s backing, has also determined they’d like Kid Rock to run. The group’s president, Steven Law, told C-SPAN on Friday, “We’d be actually very interested in his candidacy. I certainly wouldn’t count him out … The truth of the matter is that he’s done a lot in his home state philanthropically. He’s a pretty smart guy. He thinks about policy and he’s a shrewd businessman. If you’re watching, Kid, we hope you run.”
Law referenced a recent RealClearPolitics poll in which Kid Rock trailed incumbent Debbie Stabenow by eight points. He declared, “It’s not a bad place to start.”
As reported by Politico:
In a poll conducted July 25-27 by RealClearPolitics, Kid Rock — whose real name is Robert Ritchie — trailed Stabenow by 8 points, and Law said it is “not a bad place to start.” Although Kid Rock has not officially declared his candidacy, social media blew up when the musician linked kidrockforsenate.com from his official Twitter account and tweeted campaign-related images: political stances, lawn signs and even apparel.
“I believe if you work your butt off and pay taxes, you should be able to easily understand and navigate the laws, tax codes, health care and anything else the government puts in place that affects us all,” one image read.
