Robert De Niro made his fatherhood status public this week.
When an ET Canada reporter heard that the “The Godfather” star had six kids, she decided to interview him about it.
When asked how many children he had, he said seven and then added that he’d recently adopted another child. The gender and name of the infant were kept secret.
Now he’s saying things like, “I gave birth.”
The 79-year-old Oscar winner hasn’t said who the child’s mother is, although he has been publicly linked to Tiffany Chen, a martial arts instructor. They were first spotted holding hands in July of 2022, and by March of this year, it looked that she was pregnant after breaking up with Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica.
According to DailyMail.com, De Niro’s spokesman confirmed the actor has seven kids.
This week he did the interview to promote his new movie, About My Father.
Robert and Tiffany were photographed leaving Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California on March 22 with a noticeable baby bump.

ET Canada recently spoke with Robert on being a dad, and he said, “I believe in being loving with my kids, but sometimes you have to be strict.”
He went on to say, “It’s just something you can’t escape if you have kids. I would like not have to set up rules and the like. But [in other cases], you really can’t do anything else.
Any parent would probably agree with that. You wish you could always trust them and look out for their best interests, but you know you can’t.
The reporter then said, “I know you have six kids,” to which Robert replied, “Actually, I have seven.”
He then informed his loved ones, “I just had a baby.”
