Actor Scott Baio, who has lived in California for more than 40 years, recently declared that he has had enough of the Left’s destruction of the state and that it is “not a safe place anymore.”
A 62-year-old Los Angeles native and resident made headlines on Wednesday when he tweeted, “After 45 years, I’m finally making my way to ‘exit stage right’ from California.”
From a KTLA5 news article, he said, “The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority’s most recent survey found that in 2022, about 69,000 people will be homeless in L.A. County and 41,000 in the city.”
Later, he tweeted that homeless people “make property values go down.” Since there are no consequences for the rampant criminal activity, living costs have increased and the neighborhood is no longer safe.
Some have made fun of the actor who played Chachi on “Happy Days” before he landed the lead role on “Charles in Charge,” saying that Californians won’t miss his “right-wing” views.
He mused, “Maybe not, but they’ll certainly miss the high taxes I pay!”
Realtor.com reported earlier this month that Baio had listed his Woodland Hills, southern California, mansion with five bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms for $3.85 million. The actor paid $1.85 million for the home in 2010, the news outlet said.
Councilwoman Katy Yaroslavsky of Los Angeles was quoted in a KTLA5 news article expressing concern over the growing homeless population in her district.
According to a statement made by Yaroslavsky, he lives within walking distance of these concentration camps. It’s wrong what these mom-and-pop shops and the neighborhoods they serve went through.
“My staff and I have been doing everything we can to handle the situation while working hard to find housing and services,” the statement read.
Due to the high poverty rate and high crime rate, many other celebrities have departed the Golden State.
Several celebrities, including Katy Perry, Matthew McConaughey, and podcaster Joe Rogan, have stated in the past that they do not plan to raise their families in the Los Angeles area.
