Donald Trump’s longtime personal lawyer Michael Cohen has stated that he personally paid $130,000 out of his own pocket to adult film star Stormy Daniels.

Stormy Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, as well as Donald Trump, have publicly denied the affair with Daniels specifically saying:

“The fact of the matter is that each party to this alleged affair denied its existence in 2006, 20011, 2016, 2017, and now again in 2018. I am not denying this affair because I was paid ‘hush money’ as has been reported in overseas owned tabloids. I am denying this affair because it never happened,” she wrote in a statement shared by a BuzzFeed reporter just a few weeks ago.

Some organizations, such as Common Cause, have tried to determine if any payment was made by the Trump organization or a 3rd party. It seems that Cohen has come out of the woodworks on this one.

“I am Mr. Trump’s longtime special counsel and I have proudly served in that role for more than a decade,” Cohen said in a statement Tuesday night, which was first reported by the New York Times. “In a private transaction in 2016, I used my own personal funds to facilitate a payment of $130,000 to Ms. Stephanie Clifford. Neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction with Ms. Clifford, and neither reimbursed me for the payment, either directly or indirectly.”

Common Cause alleges that the $130,000 payout possibly violated campaign finance laws and believe it may be an unreported “in-kind” contribution to Trump’s 2016 campaign. With that, just last month, they filed a federal complaint with the Federal Election Commission.

Cohen’s statement about that echoes his previous one:

“The complaint alleges that I somehow violated campaign finance laws by facilitating an excess, in-kind contribution,” Mr. Cohen said in his statement. “The allegations in the complaint are factually unsupported and without legal merit, and my counsel has submitted a response to the F.E.C.”

It’s pretty easy to piece together… the affair didn’t happen, even she says so. The “hush money” as she called it was simply to not even let the idea of it come to light with everything in the 2016 campaign coming to a close. But yet, them lefties will persist.
