Sean Spicer: I Think I’ve Let The President Down

April 11th, 2017 White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer messed up. He compared Assad to Hitler. A bigger storm appeared when, during his press briefing, Spicer said that “Hilter did not use chemical weapons”. Of course, we all know the Nazis murdered millions in gas chambers using the chemical agent Zyklon B.

So now he’s on damage control, and he seems rather apologetic. In his quest to make amends, he recognizes his mistake and stated “I think I’ve let the president down,” to which he continued, “so on both a personal level and professional level that will go down as not a very good day in my history.”.

“There’s no other way to say it, I got into a topic I shouldn’t have and I screwed up,” Spicer said during an interview, “I hope people understand that we all make mistakes.”

Spicer further stated that he should never have even made the comparison as, in his words, there’s no comparing atrocities.

We could dig deeper but now… the liberal media is essentially crucifying him for his mistake. I mean, it’s gotten pretty bad for Spicer. Oh how quickly the liberal media loves to forget. In 2013 many people in the media said Hitler never used chemical weapons. And now they are the loudest critiquing Spicer! But not all hope is lost. MSNBC anchor Chris Matthews came to the defense of Sean Spicer for saying Adolf Hitler didn’t use chemical weapons during World War II — a line Mr. Matthews also used when talking about the Syrian Civil War in 2013.

“What do you make of this Spicer — well, I’ll call it a faux pas — because I think he was thinking, you know, I remember growing up hearing from my father and others that, you know, in World War I the gas was used,” Mr. Matthews said Tuesday on “Hardball.” “I remember all the horrible pictures coming out of World War I from battlefield use of gas and the gas masks and what it did to people. And even when Hitler, the worst person ever perhaps, was surrounded, they didn’t resort to that in the battlefield. I think that’s what clearly — that’s what I think Spicer was talking about.”

Check out Matthews’s own flubber back in 2013:

Look, folks… mistakes happen. People misspeak all the time. I mean, heck, I don’t think Ol’ Nancy Pelosi is entirely sure who the current president is. But those libs give her a free pass, apparently.
