The President then exposed his upgraded COVID-19 booster by rolling up his sleeve.
The President issued a grim warning to the American public on Tuesday, stating that the failure to receive the updated immunization will be the cause of nearly all cases of COVID this year.
Biden, along with the CEOs of Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, and Albertsons, declared during a news conference that “virtually every COVID fatality in America is preventable.” As the saying goes, “nearly everyone, virtually everyone who will die from COVID this year will not be up-to-date on their vaccines.”
President Joe Biden has lobbied members of Congress to support the procurement of new vaccines, diagnostic tests, and therapeutic alternatives by allocating billions of dollars as requested by the administration.
The president’s words come in advance of the holiday season, when temperatures drop, people spend more time indoors, and the risk of the spread of infectious illnesses increases.
Biden urged U.S. citizens to be up-to-date on vaccinations, including the flu shot, noting the spread of new strains in the United States and a surge in hospitalizations throughout Europe.
“You should probably just get it to be safe. President Joe Biden has remarked, “Almost every death is preventable, so get updated; if you don’t, you’re putting yourself and other people in unnecessary danger.” Increase your protection against COVID. Do everything you can to finish up by Halloween, but definitely by then.”
According to a study released earlier this year by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 75% of COVID-19 deaths among vaccinated individuals occurred in those with four or more comorbidities (CDC).
Biden tested positive for COVID-19 on two separate occasions in July, despite having a full vaccine and two boosters. Dr. Reagan said the president’s remarkable “rebound” excitement was due to PAXLOVID.
Biden had a fresh COVID-19 booster injection administered to him by a member of the White House medical team after the news conference. He had to wait until his summer infection had cleaned up, per federal health regulations, before he could get his booster shot.
According to the White House, 20 million Americans have gotten the updated COVID-19 booster, including nearly one in five seniors. This revised vaccine now targets the omicron BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants that are most common in the United States.
Dr. Ashish Jha, who is in charge of the White House’s COVID-19 response, has said that the three respiratory viruses now circulating in the United States are the flu, COVID-19, and RSV (respiratory syncytial virus).
Jha said that the newly improved COVID booster, along with the seasonal flu vaccine, would help people stay well and out of the hospital in time to celebrate Thanksgiving and other forthcoming holidays with their loved ones.
He mentioned that respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infections were on the rise among children and that there was currently no vaccine available to treat the disease. However, pharmaceutical companies were working on creating a vaccine.
We could go through this with relative ease, though, provided everybody got their shots. On Tuesday, Jha made a statement.
Since this is the case, “we’re asking all Americans, but particularly older Americans, particularly seniors, to get the new, improved COVID vaccination because I really think it’s going to make a really substantial impact,” Jha added. Using a vaccination that expired nine months ago or an illness that occurred a year ago is generally not going to cut it.
