The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of gunfire on County Road 263 north of Jasper about midnight on Sunday.
The research concluded that “nine of the injured did not have injuries that could kill them.” The incident began on County Road 263 at an after-prom gathering. Most of the victims were sent to Jasper Memorial Hospital, but a handful were sent to Christus St. Elizabeth for specialized treatment.
The sheriff’s office claims that they are currently conducting interviews with possible witnesses. The message promised additional details as they were available.

Prior to this, there have been previous notable mass murders. At a Sweet 16 celebration over the weekend in rural Dadeville, Alabama, 32 people were injured, and 4 were murdered.
A sixth suspect has been apprehended, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Between fifteen and twenty of them exist.
Four people were slain in total: two high school seniors (one of them was the football star brother of the party girl) and two ex-athletes (aged 19 and 23).
