A Latino security guard, 33 years old, opened fire at the Allen Premium Outlets in Texas, killing at least eight people and injuring six more.

According to CBS News correspondent J.D. Miles, the man “had no serious criminal record and was working as a security guard.”
The sheriff of Texas’s Collin County reported several fatalities, including young children. The alleged gunman’s body was discovered at the scene of the crime. Texas law enforcement received support from the FBI and the Department of Public Safety in the state of Texas.
Nine people, ages 5 to 61, were taken by the Allen PD to the hospital. Officials have said they think the shooter acted alone. in 3:36 p.m. local time, a police officer who was in the mall for another reason heard gunfire. Before calling for help, the cop “neutralized” the criminal.
Allen Premium Outlets, roughly 25 miles north of Dallas, is home to about 120 retailers.
