The teenager accused in the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf has been relocated to a confidential location after multiple threats were made against his life. The move was approved by the court to ensure his safety amid growing public attention and unrest surrounding the case.

Karmelo Anthony, also 17, had been under house arrest with electronic monitoring after posting a reduced bond. However, reports of stalking, verbal harassment, and suspicious activity outside his residence prompted the decision to relocate him.

The fatal incident took place at a high school track meet earlier this month, where a confrontation reportedly turned violent. Metcalf sustained a fatal stab wound to the chest and was pronounced dead shortly after. Anthony was taken into custody at the scene and is facing a murder charge, though he has claimed self-defense.

As tensions rise, both families involved have reported experiencing harassment, including false emergency calls and online threats. Authorities are now focused on maintaining order and protecting those connected to the case.

A grand jury is expected to review the charges within the next several weeks.
