Melania Trump took a visit to the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center this past Monday while her husband, President Donald Trump, gave a speech at Sheffer Corp.

During the two-hour visit, which included a detailed presentation on NSA – or neonatal abstinence syndrome – a condition which often affects babies born with or having an addiction to opioids or heroin, she decided to visit the playroom.

During that time, she noticed a group of boys playing Sorry and asked “Show me how to do this.”

“She was really interested in the kids,” Nathan, father of one of the boys, said. “She was pleasant with Megan and I, but she got down at the kids’ level and was really talking to both of them.”

    As reported by Cincinnati.com:

Hospital officials, including chief executive Michael Fisher, gave Trump a half-hour review, with PowerPoint presentation, about neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS), the collection of health problems that often afflict babies born dependent on or addicted to opioids or heroin. She then walked the main concourse of the hospital and then went to a second-floor playroom filled with children.

The hospital’s NAS clinic was featured in The Enquirer’s local investigation of the epidemic last year, “Seven Days of Heroin,” and the follow-up story about one baby whose mother died of an overdose.

In the past year, especially since she moved from New York to Washington, the first lady has visited pediatric hospitals in New York, Paris, Rome and Washington, D.C.

In the playroom at Cincinnati Children’s on Monday, the first lady collected a little girl in her arms and held her. She then commented on a young painter’s effort at the easel. She went to a play table where several boys were playing the board game Sorry. “Show me how to do this,” she said, drawing one of the game’s playing cards from the deck. One of the boys explained the game.
