For months, Trump has been hinting that he plans to compete for reelection to the presidency in 2024.
Just on Monday’s eve of the national elections, former President Donald Trump hinted at a huge surprise, which may be his determination to a presidential run in 2024.
“We were a great country two years ago, and we’ll be again. For fear of detracting from tomorrow’s crucial election, I’d want to… I will make a major announcement on Tuesday, November 15, at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach. “This will be my third run for president,” Trump added, indicating his intention to run again.
While Trump has now been dropping hints about a third run for the presidency for over a year, his rhetoric has been heating up in recent months as the announcement date draws nearer. After much pressure from other Republicans, Trump suddenly seems ready to delay his inauguration till after the coming elections.
Next, he listed many Republican candidates for election in the upcoming elections, a follow-up to his remarks from his statement on November 15.
Trump restrained from bashing republican Friends, as well. The former President did not address Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, called “Ron DeSanctimonious,” while he ran over poll results on the giant board. Instead, he has poured his support behind DeSantis’ bid to remain Florida governor.
Trump also stated there are “a lot of fine individuals” in the potential GOP field as the screen scrolled through surveys showing him as the frontrunner in states including Nevada, Ohio, North Carolina, and Kansas.
Trump also spent much time bashing Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, a Democrat running for the Senate in Ohio, and promoting Ryan’s Republican opponent, JD Vance.
Trump has often stressed many of the issues that Republican candidates for office in 2022 had also emphasized—including rising prices, more immigration, and increased crime.
Trump told the rowdy crowd, “Inflation would never have happened.” “Don’t even bother getting a Thanksgiving turkey. When it comes to Thanksgiving, has anyone gone out and gotten a turkey yet? Simply put, don’t bother if you haven’t already.”
Further, Trump said, “First of all, it’s unlikely that you’ll understand. And if you do, your final price will be nearly three times as much as you originally paid.”
The former president made a joke about how other nations had “short trials” for drug traffickers while claiming that “under the extreme left Democrats, the streets of our cities are governed by murderous gangs and vicious criminals.”
We shouldn’t quadruple the quantity of IRS agents; instead, we should double the amount of ICE and Border Police agents,” the former president remarked.
The ex-president did a lot of campaigning for Republican candidates during the elections. The vast majority of Trump-backed candidates who competed in the Republican primary ultimately won their respective nominations.
Trump also deviated from his usual midterm campaign speech by touching on several of the staples of his rallies. Trump has attacked former Attorney General Bill Barr and Vice President Mike Pence for not rejecting electoral votes and not supporting his bogus allegations that the 2020 presidential election was stolen, respectively.
He complained about the numerous criminal and civil investigations on him and railed against “impeachment scam number one” and “impeachment scam number two.”
Yet, Trump may use the speech as a cover for his “major surprise” next week, claiming credit for the Republicans’ victory on Election Day.
“We will reclaim the House of Representatives this year. We intend to win back control of the Senate. As well as reclaiming the United States of America. First and foremost, we will reclaim the White House in 2024. “That’s what Trump had to say.
