There are two kinds of Democrats in the United States. Those who are in prison and those who soon will be.
They are no longer the party of Jefferson and are now the party of Al Capone. (Totally acceptable since he never owned slaves.) I get the feeling that the reason that liberals fight so hard to get felons back their voting rights is to win elections. Otherwise, many of their politicians couldn’t vote.
A former Democratic Party chairman and prosecutor in Missouri, Mike Sanders, and his aide and chief of staff, Calvin Williford has pleaded guilty to public corruption and Sanders was found guilty of wire fraud in a scheme to use campaign funds for personal use. Sanders used the money to take trips to California wine country and Las Vegas.

Williford also testified that the pair had a scheme involving a printing company that would create phone invoices and distribute the money to Williford and other workers on Sanders’ campaigns to bypass the Missouri Ethics Commission.
Sanders admitted to converting roughly $62,000 in campaign funds for personal use through a kickback scheme using an old high school friend named Steve Hill.
Hill told the Star in December that Sanders delivered checks to him for campaign work that he never performed, and would keep 10 percent while Sanders pocketed the rest for what he said was political purposes. Authorities later found that not to be the complete story, according to the paper.
For example, in one instance Sanders’ used $4,550 in kickback money he obtained from Hill in 2012 to pay his federal taxes from 2010, the paper reported.

Sanders, who served as the chairman of the Missouri Democratic Party from 2010 to 2013. He also worked as a Jackson County prosecutor starting in 2002, prior to becoming county executive in 2007. Two other unnamed employees took part in the kickback schemes.
To the DNC, Democrats going to prison is worse than death. Going to prison causes you to lose your right to vote but if you die, you can vote for eternity.
As Steve Hill, a longtime friend recounted… Sanders offered him a proposition and being disabled (quadriplegic) he needed the extra income and agreed to the arrangement.
“He came to me one day and said, ‘Man, here’s what I want you to do: Go cash this check for me, man, keep $200 or $300 for yourself,’” Hill said during a nearly two-hour interview Wednesday night.
“I thought about it for a minute. What the hell? All right, I’m in a wheelchair, man. I’m hurting for a few bucks. And $200 or $300 would help me out.”
Hill provided the media outlet an email chain between himself and his lawyer, former Riverside Judge Charles McKeon as well as Gene Porter, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Kansas City. Hill failed to disclose more than $62,000 income from “other sources” while he was collecting disability.
“Based on this evidence, there is probable cause to establish that between September 2010 and December 2013, your client committed multiple felony violations of various federal criminal statutes,” Porter told McKeon in the initial message on Jan. 6, 2016.
“The Government is prepared to present this evidence to a grand jury and obtain an indictment of your client charging him with multiple felonies. If your client is interested in discussing options for resolving this matter pre-indictment, please contact me as soon as possible to schedule a date and time to meet.”
