Google Fires Employee Who Dared to Challenge Them

How DARE you question our very liberal ways! How dare you form a thought or opinion that does not align with our own personal beliefs at this publicly traded company! — That’s sarcasm, folks. But that’s how I see this whole entire thing, too. The employee, James Damore, had clearly let this pent up in him for years. And what did he do about it? He did what any conservative-leaning person would do… make his thoughts on the matter clear and coherent.

You know what he didn’t do? Create a mob, take to the streets, and destroy other’s property to show he was serious. Kudos to you, Mr Damore. I read your “memo” and I think you made a lot of valuable points that Google should seriously take to heart.

This is an environment created by Google, this is their fault. And why do so many people on the left think that people want or need their help? If women want to code guess what? They’ll become coders. If minorities want to be designers guess what? They’ll become designers. They don’t need your freaking handouts. Let everyone’s work and merit speak for itself. It’s that simple.

As Written By David French for National Review:

Of course Google did this. Of course an increasingly radical progressive enclave can’t handle thoughtful critiques of its ideological monoculture. Here’s Bloomberg:

Alphabet Inc.’s Google has fired an employee who wrote an internal memo blasting the web company’s diversity policies, creating a firestorm across Silicon Valley.

James Damore, the Google engineer who wrote the note, confirmed his dismissal in an email, saying that he had been fired for “perpetuating gender stereotypes.” A Google representative didn’t immediately return a request for comment.

Google forecast the move earlier today when its CEO Sundar Pichai said portions of the memo “violate our Code of Conduct and cross the line by advancing harmful gender stereotypes in our workplace.” I’m going to write a longer piece about this, but this reaffirms a fundamental reality – key sectors of our economy are not only increasingly politicized, they’re increasingly radicalized…….
