Gowdy Defends Mueller; Disagrees With Trump, Taking On Nunes’ Memo

I’m struggling with Gowdy’s comments on this one. I understand there is other evidence that indicates he is the reason for the investigation but…

1 – Was the “extra” evidence used to get the FISA?
2 – If this evidence WAS used and IS credible then why did the DNC spend $9M to get the dossier and use it as evidence for the warrant?
3 – Why did McCabe say that without the dossier there would be no FISA warrant?

And with no FISA warrant, there would be no investigation.

I question this because IF this is the precedent we set moving forward, then anyone of us can be targeted and investigated under false pretenses. Just make false accusations and your enemies will be spied on by the FBI, even if the false pretenses are PROVEN FALSE.

I have respected Congressman Gowdy but on this issue fundamentally disagree.

    From Gowdy’s Twitter:

“It is important for the American public to know if the dossier was paid for by another candidate, used in court pleadings, vetted before it was used, vetted after it was used, and whether all relevant facts were shared with the tribunal approving of the FISA application.”

While this memo raises serious concerns with the FISA process, I have been and remain confident in the overwhelming majority of the men and women serving at the FBI and DOJ.

As I have said repeatedly, I also remain 100 percent confident in Special Counsel Robert Mueller. The contents of this memo do not – in any way – discredit his investigation.

    As reported by Fox News:

President Donald Trump, on the other hand, tweeted that the memo “totally vindicates” him of any collusion with Russia or obstruction of justice, calling the Russia collusion narrative “an American disgrace.”

This memo totally vindicates “Trump” in probe. But the Russian Witch Hunt goes on and on. Their was no Collusion and there was no Obstruction (the word now used because, after one year of looking endlessly and finding NOTHING, collusion is dead). This is an American disgrace!
