Sarah Huckabee Sanders, White House Press Secretary, dropped a scathing rebuttal of the false narrative being pushed by Democrats in the wake up the Schumer Shutdown.
“Senate Democrats own the Schumer Shutdown. Tonight, they put politics above our national security, military families, vulnerable children, and our country’s ability to serve all Americans. We will not negotiate the status of unlawful immigrants while Democrats hold our lawful citizens hostage over their reckless demands. This is the behavior of obstructionist losers, not legislators.” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said.
Harsh words for a harsh reality.
McConnell then took the Senate floor, faulting Democrats for not backing the House bill and averting a shutdown.
“What we have just witnessed on the floor was a cynical decision to shove aside millions of Americans for the sake of irresponsible political gains,” the GOP leader said. “A government shutdown was 100 percent avoidable, completely avoidable. Now it is imminent all because Senate Democrats chose to filibuster a noncontroversial funding bill that contains nothing — not a thing — that they do not support.”
Earlier today Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force Kaleth O. Wright took to social media to rally the troops. Encouraging members to look to their individual commanders for guidance and to rely on one another Chief Wrights’ message is clear: ladies and gentlemen, you are on your own.
Early Saturday, smaller stop gap was announced that would have funded the government through 8 February, but was blocked by Senator Ron Wyden (D. Ore). Democrats claim the differences are too vast for such a small gap, and are holding out for a long-term solution to funding.
It’s a risky hand for them to play with such a master of media at the helm of the Republican party. While moderates on both sides of the isle worked into Saturday to find a solution, television networks were full of Democrats vying to get ahead of the story and spin it to their agenda.
Let’s be clear about this: The Democrats have successfully shut down the federal government, putting countless livelihoods and actual lives at risk. In what amounts to nothing more than an attempt to kick the legs out from under the Trump economy. This tactic will fail them in the mid-term elections and will come back to haunt them in the 2020 general election.

The inmates currently run the asylum, and real political dialog and debate cannot resume in this country until true patriots regardless of political affiliation take charge.
