Guess Who Christine Ford Says Was Her Only Mutual Friend With Kavanaugh…

Christine Ford was asked by the Republican prosecutor if she had any mutual friends with Brett Kavanaugh. She said there was only one. It is a name you might be familiar with, Chris Garrett. Scalia’s former law clerk, Ed Whelan pieced together Ford’s story, which included the fact that the party was near the country club, where she had spent the day and the floor plans of the house where she was assaulted.

Whelan was suspended from his job over it after he pointed out that none of the people Ford claimed were at the party, lived even remotely close to the country club. He also produced the floor plans that matched Ford’s description perfectly. It was from the house of Chris Garrett. Ford admitted that she had gone out with Garrett for a few months, but refused to call it dating. That proves nothing, but on the other hand, why did Mitchell ask that question? I wonder if Garrett was one of the two men who said they believed that Ford mistook Garrett for Kavanaugh.

    From The Blaze

In a series of now-deleted tweets, Whelan announced that he had “compelling evidence” that proved Kavanaugh’s “categorical denial to be truthful.”

He proceeded to use floor plans of a house and a yearbook photo as evidence to suggest that Ford may have been assaulted by a man who simply looked like Kavanaugh. Whelan named this man, and published his picture.

Whelan later apologized for making that accusation and publicizing the name of this man. He admitted that his tweets “did not advance the discussion in a constructive way.” Whelan has since taken a leave of absence from his position as president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center.

The two things may not even be connected, but it sure is a coincidence.
