There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that the mainstream media is full of vile, self-serving faux-journalists with an agenda, but the latest comment from one CBS reporter is unbelievable.
Last night’s horrific terror attack at pop start Ariana Grande’s concert in Manchester, UK was reprehensible in more ways than one. Not only did a radical Islamic suicide bomber target an arena full of concert goers, but these concert goers were primarily adolescent women. One victim has been identified as being only 8 years old as this terrorist filth took her from the earth.
While a great many of the press’ reactions were of the sympathetic and consoling variety, one CBS reporter felt that it was prudent to make crude and uncouth jokes at the expense of the dead.
“A reporter who does some work for CBS, as well as for other news agencies, sent out a vile tweet in the aftermath of the ISIS terror attack at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester — the one that left adults and children dead and injured. And the tweet went like this:
“MULTIPLE CONFIRMED FATALITIES at Manchester Arena. The last time I listened to Ariana Grande I almost died too. But Leavitt also made other tasteless Twitter jokes, post-terror attack.”
The complete lack of empathy being demonstrated by the leftist media is unfathomable. What we have witnessed is international terrorists targeting and killing our mothers, daughters, sisters, nieces, and aunts in a blatant attack on global freedom. To see a so-called “journalist” commit these words to the public record amplifies our concern for global society. Not only do we have radical Islamic terrorists, willing to die in order to kill free and innocent women, we have self-absorbed and conceited members of the press hoping to latch onto the tragedy in order to make a name for themselves.
They may teach us that “no news is bad news”, but in the case of David Leavitt, I’d much rather have no news.
