Donna Brazile and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, both former Democratic National Committee bosses, attacked Obama’s former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson this week. Accusing him of lying, under oath, when claiming that the DNC denied his agency access to the hacked servers.
“Let me be very clear, at no point during my tenure at the DNC was i contacted by the FBI, DHS, or any government agency, or alerted or made aware that they believed that the Russians, an enemy state, was intruding on our network,” said Schultz.
Both Brazile and Schultzare reacting to Johnson’s testimony before Congress that happened on Wednesday. When speaking with the Senate Intel Committee the former Homeland Secretary stunned lawmakers when he had asked for access to the DNC servers after the allegations of a Russian intrusion but was denied by the party’s officials.
As the former Chair of the DNC, I have nothing but the utmost respect for former Sect Jeh Johnson, but her got it wrong today.

DHS reach out to DNC in August 2016. DHS waited months after the hack was already public and offered their services.

The DNC & FBI had already worked to close the intrusion. We got DHS what it wanted – we gave a detailed report on what happened at DNC.

As the former Chair, I am grateful for all the assistance we received from various federal agencies. I know DNC will continue to cooperate.
