James Mattis, Defense Secretary, gave an amazing speech on the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, making it clear that we would finish the fight started by al-Qaeda all those years ago.
“Heroism and passion were boundless on 9/11,” Mattis said. “Patriots from all backgrounds and all walks of life responded with speed, with courage, and with compassion. In the aftermath of the attack, our service members, our nation, rallied together as one.”
“While we never asked for this fight, we are steadfastly committed to seeing it through, as President Trump has made it abundantly clear,” Mattis said.
“We Americans are not made of common candy,” said Mattis. “We are not seaweed drifting in the current. We are not intimidated by our enemies, and Mr. President, your military does not scare.”
“Your military stands and ready confident to defend this country, this experiment in democracy,” said Mattis.
Then he gave a message to those who lost their lives on 9/11…
“The loss you have endured drives us in our mission today and every day,” Mattis concluded, before giving way to President Trump’s speech.

I have sometimes wondered if members of al-Qaeda and Bin Laden himself realized how badly they screwed up by pulling off the attacks? I wonder if they sat around their dusty caves thinking to themselves “oh man, we really f**ked up…”
But this video restores some of my faith in humanity. It’s so easy for one to get lost in the crap-narrative that the Liberal Left and alt-left try to push that sometimes I focus too much on their negativity; forgetting that there are still battles to win, and lives to save. I’m glad we have good people like Mattis who hasn’t forgotten and who are still fighting the good fight. And I know there are many more like him in our armed forces.
God Bless The United States of America!
