After going on a solo trip and not coming back, she was reported missing on the evening of May 21. Late at night, the operation was put on hold, and with more than 20 cops and other resources, it was restarted early the following morning.
Around noon on May 22, Moody’s body was found by an airborne search team approximately 600 yards off the main trail. There were no obvious injuries or indications of foul play, according to the authorities. The Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating the cause of death.
