China has recently sent out a decree to its people that has caused another million residents to be forced into lockdown because of another spike in cases of the disease in the city of Wuhan, the place where the pandemic first started back at the end of 2019.
The current lockdown afflicted upon the Jiangxia district of Wuhan for the next few days is being sent out after the discovery of four asymptomatic cases in the area earlier this week.
There is currently no surefire way to know just how many cases were actually discovered as China has repeatedly lied throughout the course of the pandemic on a large range of issues, going from the total number of cases and deaths throughout the communist nation to trying to falsely blame the U.S. military for the virus.
As reported by CNN, supermarkets, entertainment venues, small clinics, places of state-controlled worship, learning centers, restaurants, and other areas for tourists were all ground to a halt and closed down along with basically all public transportation.
Throughout high-and-medium-risk neighborhoods, residents were told that they could not leave their houses as a way to “further reduce the flow of people, [and] lower the risk of cross-infection and achieve dynamic zero-Covid in the shortest time possible,” explained a statement from authorities.
The coronavirus pandemic, which has resulted in multiple trillions of dollars in damages throughout the global economy and resulted in the deaths of an estimated 15 million people, first spread out from the area near the end of 2019. An exact timeline, however, of the events has not ever been able to be established because of how China has chosen to block any and all international pressure for an investigation inside the country along with falsifying their reported information.
A group of researchers from China’s first Biosafety level-4 laboratory, Wuhan Institute of Virology, were hospitalized back in November of 2019 with a series of symptoms that we now associate with COVID-19, as reported in a previously undisclosed intelligence report from the U.S that was made public just last year.
U.S. officials have indicated that they think that China intentionally chose to underreport their total numbers by almost a factor of 50. British officials told Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the early stages of the pandemic that China could have underreported by a factor of 15 to 40 times.
It was reported by The Washington Post back in April of 2020 that evidence coming to light about Wuhan seemed to state that the actual death counts sat at well over 40,000, which came as China made the claim that they were seeing numbers as low as 4,600 deaths nationwide. Another conservative estimate from April of 2020 from the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) — which allowed China the benefit of the doubt regarding their calculation — seemed to suggest that China deliberately and severely underreported their overall numbers and that the communist country’s true numbers at that time could have been well over 2.9 million infections with over 100,000 deaths
