President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were called out by Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) via a graphic video highlighting the horrid effects of the influence of the drug cartels on the influx of immigrants surging across the southern border.
The video highlighted the dead bodies of immigrants who did not survive, including one of the children with their father lying face down in the water just as they made it to land.
“President Biden doesn’t want Americans to know that he has been ignoring the narco slave trade taking place along our southern border,” explained Cruz via social media.

“These children come in, in debt to vicious cartels — thousands and thousands of dollars,” stated Cruz in the video. “And the teenage boys work for the gangs in every city in America. And the teenage girls experience a hell worse than that, with far too many of them human-trafficked into sex slavery.”
“Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are responsible for the worst plague of slavery in America since the Civil War,” he expressed. “This is not compassionate. This is not humane. This is barbaric.”
The video ended by stating, “Abolish the Narco Slave Trade.”
As stated by Noticias Telemundo Investiga, which interviewed a sizable number of immigrants who had crossed over the southern border, Members of the drug cartels kidnap families both before and after they attempt to sneak across the southern border. Immigrants who are kidnapped are then forced to hand over their cellphones, and then told they will have their hands mutilated if they do not reach out to their families and tell them to pay a ransom or the victim will end up hurt.
If the ransoms are not paid, pictures of victims who have been sexually assaulted or severely beaten are then sent to the families.
Researcher Guadalupe Correa-Cabrera stated to NBC News that the immigrants do not tell officials about these attacks from the cartels, adding, “They don’t report them because they threaten them if they do so, and they don’t know who to turn to. Most kidnappers have ties to the authorities, so it’s virtually impossible that they’ll take action against them. It is the perfect business.”
Back in March of 2021, Reuters issued a report that stated that almost 10,000 kids under the age of 18 made the border crossing illegally into the United States without their families the month before, almost double the total seen in January, as stated by CBP data. The inane number from the month before seems to take place in the wake of the Biden administration saying that at the beginning of February 2021 it would not rapidly expel any unaccompanied minors.
“It’s good to take advantage of the moment, because children are able to pass quickly. That’s what we’re telling everyone,” explained one smuggler from Guatemala to Reuters.
