This past Wednesday, Leftist Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey issued a very controversial take concerning guns that even put extreme-Left Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison on edge.
Frey, who is known to have been lauding his leftist credentials for the past few years, seemed to be harkening back and channeling his inner Barack Obama. Back in 2016, Obama also made a very odd claim while taking part in a memorial service for Dallas police officials killed by sniper fire, “We flood communities with so many guns that it is easier for a teenager to buy a Glock than get his hands on a computer or even a book.”
Or just maybe the Mayor was looking back on vintage 2015 era Obama when the former president stated, “There are neighborhoods where it’s easier for you to buy a handgun and clips than it is for you to buy a fresh vegetable.”
“The underlying issue is that there are areas in the Twin Cities, in Minneapolis, where it is easier to buy a gun than a fresh apple,” stated Frey. “Why is that? There aren’t gun shops in Minneapolis.”
I’m dying at Keith Ellison’s reaction 😂 https://t.co/sYdTn1lMKQ pic.twitter.com/WwrIqfQrrG

Back in 2020, Frey labeled March 10th as Abortion Provider Appreciation Day. Frey claimed that his actions were solely to honor Whole Woman’s Health, a local abortion provider, stating, “Every day, abortion providers like Whole Woman’s Health deliver high quality care in the face of harassment and threats to abortion access at the federal and local levels. I’m proud to recognize today as Abortion Provider Appreciation Day to celebrate Whole Woman’s Health as an essential part of our community.”
Frey expressed via social media. “The professionals who ensure women can access safe reproductive healthcare do so despite threats of violence & the persistent push to undermine Roe v. Wade. That’s why today is Abortion Provider Appreciation Day in Minneapolis.” The date March 10th was chosen due to March 10, 1993, being the day that an abortionist in Pensacola, Dr. David Gunn, was shot and killed.
Frey’s statement also came in the wake of the city council for St. Paul voting, unanimously, to pass a resolution that recognizes March 4th as Abortion Providers Appreciation Day in St. Paul.
The resolution stated, “The Supreme Court of the United States now contains a majority of Justices who may not interpret the Constitution to provide protection for the right to end a pregnancy and may overturn or severely limit Roe v. Wade, which includes the threat of women patients and abortion providers being arrested and sent to jail.”
