President Trump called Bruce Ohr a disgrace and said that he expected to pull his security clearance soon. That would be monumental since Ohr still works for the DOJ and not having a security clearance could put him out of his job.
Ohr hid the fact that his wife worked for Fusion GPS on the Clinton dossier. Ignored for quite a while, new information on his activities point to him being a major conduit between Chris Steele and the FBI after the FBI dumped Steele for leaking to the press. His many conflicts plus his actions in trying to legitimize the now totally debunked dossier means that he can’t be trusted to be impartial.
There has been speculation swirling about Ohr’s closeness to Trump-Russia dossier author Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson.
Ohr’s wife, Nellie Ohr, worked for Fusion GPS, an opposition research firm that was hired by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to compile the dossier of potentially damaging information against Trump.
“I think Bruce Ohr is a disgrace,” Trump said. “I suspect I will be taking [his security clearance] away very quickly. I think Bruce Ohr is a disgrace with his wife Nellie. For him to be in the Justice Department and to be doing what he did, that is a disgrace.”
He went on to say that Ohr’s actions related to Steele and the dossier are “disqualifying” for Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who’s investigating Russian election meddling and potential collusion with the Trump campaign.
It is said that the White House is busy preparing documents, pulling security clearances from past and present officials whose actions are more than questionable. The president is under attack already for pulling disgraced ex CIA director, John Brennan’s security clearance. But, if there is one thing we’ve learned about this president is that he does not play the media’s game. He does what’s right.
