As President Joe Biden disembarked Marine One, an unexpected incident occurred when he accidentally bumped his head on the helicopter’s door, adding to concerns following his earlier collapse at the Air Force Academy’s commencement ceremony.
Emerging from the aircraft, the President’s forehead collided with the door, eliciting amusement from the awaiting reporters gathered on the South Lawn of the White House.
Although Biden could be seen rubbing the affected area on his head, he appeared otherwise unharmed as he strolled across the yard.
When questioned about his recent tumble, the President quipped, “I got sandbagged,” during a brief interaction with the press.
Preferring to avoid further inquiries, Biden promptly stated, “No questions, no,” before making his exit.
Earlier that day, the President delivered a commencement address at the Air Force Academy, where he unexpectedly stumbled as he was leaving the podium.
Concerns over the well-being of the 80-year-old leader quickly spread across social media platforms following the incident.
Representative Wesley Hunt (R-Texas) expressed his prayers for the nation’s safety, tweeting, “Not funny at all. This is simply so tragic. This guy has no business being our president in 2025.”
Clay Travis, founder of Outkick, also voiced his concerns, stating, “Joe Biden just fell off the stage at the Air Force Academy commencement. Abusive treatment of the elderly… He isn’t well.”
In an attempt to assuage worries, White House communications director Ben Labolt clarified that Biden had merely stumbled over a sandbag, aiming to downplay any health-related concerns.
Labolt promptly addressed the incident on Twitter, explaining that a sandbag had been present on the stage while the President was engaging with attendees.
