MARYLAND — ROCKVILLE The Daily Wire has learned that on Wednesday night, the “nonbinary” activist Sam Brinton was arrested as a “fugitive from justice” for allegedly stealing baggage. Brinton had been hired by Joe Biden for a vital nuclear post before he was sacked for stealing women’s clothes.
The Daily Wire was informed by an anonymous source that Kevin’s spouse had been prevented from leaving the house by “four unmarked police” the previous evening. About an hour later, Sam Brinton was taken away in handcuffs.
Airport police “executed a search warrant May 17 in Montgomery County, Maryland, in connection with allegations of stolen property in luggage from Reagan National Airport that were brought to the department’s attention in February 2023,” according to Rob Yingling, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA). On Wednesday, Samuel Otis Brinton, 35, of Rockville, Maryland, was arrested by Montgomery County Police on suspicion of grand larceny.
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police are leading this investigation,” stated Montgomery County Police Spokeswoman Sheira Goff. Brinton was taken into custody at around 10:00 p.m. last night.
From the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, Brinton was brought before Judge Victor Del Pino on Thursday afternoon, where Del Pino denied his release and ordered his extradition to Virginia. There was no legal representation, fans, or media present for Brinton’s hearing other than The Daily Wire. Although he did not qualify for a public defender due to his salary, he was temporarily represented by one. He had on a mask and a blue prison uniform.
“Mr. Brinton is a nuclear engineer, and he is married,” the public defender added. To be more specific, he is employed by the nuclear startup company GeoFission. To him, turning himself in [to Virginia] means keeping his employment, so he hopes to be released from custody. There’s probably some truth to the claim of stolen luggage.
Del Pino declared, “I will reject the call to surrender himself. He’ll be picked up by Virginia. I wish Mr. Brinton the best of luck in Virginia.
Brinton’s sex is marked as “X” on a legal document. At Thursday’s bond hearing, the bald nuclear engineer stood out among the other defendants, who included many who could not speak English and who were accused of gun crimes or other serious charges.

The former Biden staffer was captured on camera in Las Vegas’s Harry Reid International Airport stealing bags, and this month he pleaded “no contest” to a misdemeanor theft charge related to the incident. After being arrested on theft charges for items worth $3,670, Brinton paid the victim more than $3,500 in restitution and received a suspended 180-day jail sentence, meaning he would not have to spend any time in jail as long as he remained law-abiding.
Brinton was arrested at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport last year and accused of the theft of a woman’s suitcase. On September 16, 2022, Brinton is accused of removing a luggage tag off a navy blue Vera Bradley suitcase bag, placing it in his handbag, and “then leaving the area at a quick pace.” This is according to a criminal complaint.
