Rep. Kevin McCarthy, the current House Minority Leader and the next Speaker of the House, has promised to remove Reps. Ilhan Omar, Adam Schiff, and Eric Swalwell from their committee assignments after the Republicans took control of the House in January.
Omar has been removed from office because of her persistent anti-Semitism, which the Democrats have failed to denounce adequately. A national security risk assessment has determined that Swalwell must be removed from his current tasks due to his relationship with Chinese Communist Party spy Fang-Fang. Replacing Schiff as head of the House Intelligence Committee was justified by his history of witch hunts and misuse of his power.
“We also won’t let Adam Schiff, who repeatedly lied to the American people, join the Intelligence Committee, McCarthy stated. “Take Representative Omar and her anti-Semitic statements as an example. Do not expect to see her on Foreign Affairs.
I’ve always been clear that Eric Swalwell will never be granted a government security clearance. There’s no reason to trust him with America’s secrets or give him a security clearance. And that’s why I won’t let him work for Intel,” he added.
Omar is unable to cope with the news.
As soon as I was elected, the Republican Party made it their mission to use racism, xenophobia, and other bigotry against me in the House of Representatives and millions of dollars worth of campaign advertisements. “Omar issued a statement saying he was free. McCarthy’s efforts to pick me out for criticism and animosity regularly, including his threat to remove me from my committee, have done nothing to solve the problems facing our people. It doesn’t do anything to combat inflation, improve healthcare, or end global warming. It further exacerbates racial tensions by encouraging fear and hatred toward Somali Americans and others like me. It’s part of a larger trend of his party seeking to silence Muslims and African-Americans since Donald Trump ran for office.”
I will continue to advocate for fair, just, and compassionate laws for all people. I will continue speaking for international harmony and respect for all people. And I will not give up until I see an America where individuals are not discriminated against because of who they are or what they believe,” she concluded.
