Dr. Jill Biden, the wife of President Joe Biden, did not think it was funny that he could have to take a test of his competency.
Republican presidential nominee Nikki Haley has called for a complete ban on Muslim immigration to the United States.
Reports from CNN state that she answered, “We would never even discuss something like that,” when asked if her spouse may consider taking such a test.
At age 80, President Joe Biden sets a new record for seniority in the Oval Office. Questions about the president’s health and sanity have been raised, even within his party, after he has recently fallen or made a fool of himself while speaking.
During her tenure as U.S. ambassador to the UN under previous President Donald Trump, Haley appeared to aim at both Biden and Trump last month.
According to Haley’s campaign rally speech, “the perpetual politician will finally retire” in her ideal America. Term restrictions will be implemented, and everyone serving in Congress who is 75 or older would have to take a mental competency test.
In response to Haley’s proposal, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), an elder statesman who has run for president himself, called it “absurd” and called for a movement to combat ageism. Sanders is at a ripe old age of 81.
Although he hasn’t made it official, Joe Biden has said he wants to run for president again.
Presidential physician Kevin O’Connor said in a report last month that President Trump “remains a healthy, vigorous 80-year-old person who is fit to adequately discharge the duties of the Presidency.”
In a recent interview with CNN, Jill Biden, an experienced educator with a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Delaware, said that she is “comfortable” with her husband running again.
She insisted that Joe make the final decision. Simply said, we’re all for any plan he has in mind. We will be waiting for him inside whenever he decides to enter. If he wants to, he can choose to do something else.
