In an “Overtime” segment, HBO’s “Real Time” host Bill Maher claimed that mayors of Chicago and New York City and the governor of Colorado have responded to migrant influxes by “saying the thing that they are not supposed to say,” namely, that despite their jurisdictions’ status as “sanctuary jurisdictions,” “we are all full up right now.”
Maher remarked, “It is amusing because all those three have stated that they are not permitted to say, which is that, I know we love immigrants, and we are sanctuary towns, but we are all packed up right now.”
He stated that even Canada has its boundaries. Then he said, “There is got to be something in between. They are all rapists and come one, come all. Many of the problems you mention could be solved if only people could get along again and reach large-scale accords. Yes, indeed.
