When asked about Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and others who have expressed their intention to try to oust McCarthy, Mace acknowledged the ongoing discussions within the Republican Party.

While Mace did not definitively commit to supporting the motion to vacate, she made it clear that she was keeping all options open. She expressed her desire to do what she believed was right for the American people and for women’s issues. Mace noted that she was actively seeking a way forward on critical topics such as post-Roe policies, birth control access, and support for survivors of sexual assault. In essence, she emphasized that her focus was on pursuing policies that she believed would benefit her constituents and the nation as a whole.
