An angry adolescent runs towards a female instructor, who turns to view her as she is shoved to the ground.
A 270-pound Matanzas High School student in Palm Coast repeatedly stomps on a paraprofessional until she falls unconscious after being struck 15 times.
Many members of staff witnessed the assault on the teacher and acted promptly to protect the instructor from further harm.
While she was injured, she is expected to make a full recovery.
Videos of the attacker’s arrest in a Matanzas High School classroom were also released by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
The kid “indicated that he was furious with the victim because she took his Nintendo Switch away during class,” the report said.
Officers found the schoolteacher wounded and unconscious, according to the arrest report.
The angry ex-group home resident was seen spitting in the teacher’s face and telling police he planned to “kill her” the next time he saw her.
Angry, the kid kicked a desk and repeatedly asked a deputy when he would be allowed to go for processing.
The sheriff of Flagler County, Florida, Rick Staly, issued a statement in which he described the student’s actions as “absolutely awful and utterly uncalled for.” We hope that the sufferer will recover quickly, both psychologically and physically.
The adolescent has been turned over to juvenile authorities and is being charged with numerous counts of criminal assault.
Volusia County School District officials made a statement after the horrifying footage was released by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
As the officials put it, “we will continue to engage totally with the local authorities as part of this probe” since “the safety and security of our students and personnel are of the utmost priority to us.”
