It was reported that President Joe Biden was observed stumbling up the steps of Air Force One on his way back to Washington, D.C. from his trip to Poland and Ukraine.
At Warsaw Chopin Airport, while Biden was attempting to board the jet, he tripped and fell approximately halfway up the steps. As he entered the cabin, he waved briefly and then went inside.
Not for the first time, Biden has had trouble boarding Air Force One. The president fractured his foot and had to wear a boot for weeks in March 2021, causing him to fall many times before a journey to Georgia. Members of the White House media team downplayed the event, claiming that they, too, were nearly knocked over by the weather.
Biden’s opponents in the 2024 race now have health and age concerns to use against him. The president has dropped hints that he plans to seek reelection in 2024, at the age of 82.
Checkups at Walter Reed National Military Medical Hospital began in 2022 and were finally finished this past Thursday. The president’s busy travel schedule was given as the reason for the holdup.
According to the results of his annual physical, the President is a “healthy, strong, 80-year-old guy” who is fully capable of doing his duties “without exclusions or adjustments.”
While on his way to Poland, President Biden unexpectedly stopped in Ukraine, where he spoke with President Volodymyr Zelensky and reaffirmed US support for Ukraine in its battle against Russia.
