Will the Democratic Party ever return to serving the citizens of the United States instead of illegal aliens? This week the Democrats killed a bill to provide small businesses with an additional $250 billion dollars. This will put many of the small fry out of business and their employees out of work. The last thing they need is to have to compete with a large influx of illegals.
Where should our elected leaders look first in times of uncertainty? Upon the American people or those who have come to this country illegally? A recent poll shows that almost 80% of voters want a moratorium on immigration. If they feel that way about legal immigration, what do you suppose they feel about illegal immigration?
The bill to be offered up by the Democrats would free all detainees currently in custody and by limiting ICE it will assure a never ending flow of immigrants. I don’t think it has a ghost of a chance of passing and neither do they. This is a campaign commercial for them. But the idea that they would be willing to pass this and not help American businesses should give you pause and make you wonder which side they are on.
Democrats are introducing legislation that, if signed into law, would mandate the release of illegal aliens in detention and stop enforcement measures against a large number of aliens living unlawfully in the United States.
New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker and Washington Rep. Pramila Jayapal introduced the Federal Immigrant Release for Safety and Security Together (FIRST) Act on Monday. While many Democratic members of Congress have urged the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for a rollback of enforcement measures amid the DTMNBN pandemic, this bill marks one of the first instances where they are turning such concerns into legislative action.
“Detention centers are like a ticking time bomb — they are severely at risk for a COVID-19 outbreak, considering the close quarters in which detainees are housed and a population with much higher rates of underlying health issues,” Booker said in a Monday press release.
He continued: “We have an obligation to do everything we can to prevent the spread of this deadly disease, and that means moving people out of detention centers when they do not pose a public safety risk.”
