Philippe Reines, a Clinton adviser, is scared. He is very scared. He says he is living in fear that Millennials will be switching from the Democratic party to the Republicans in a big way.
That would spell disaster for the party and in his mind, for the country. The reason he is scared is that in February, the millennials will see the tax cut in their paychecks and decide that the Democrats lied to them and that Trump and the Republicans were right all along.
I don’t understand. Didn’t the Democrats tell us that if tax reform went through the lower classes would have to pay higher taxes? Out there right now are millions of millennials praying to God that their taxes don’t go up more than they can afford.
When they see the cut and realize they were lied to, they may decide (or come to realize) that all liberals lie because if they tell the truth, they can’t get elected.
As important as the millennials are, the liberals could have an even bigger problem. Blacks. The black unemployment under Obama was scandalous and much of it was their preference for illegal aliens over African Americans. But under Trump, the unemployment rate for Blacks has dropped to it’s lowest level since 1970.
How is that humanly possible? It’s because President Trump has changed the priorities. Illegal aliens no longer can pour across the border unchecked. Employers are worried about immigration raids and large fines.
As a result, they are forced to hire Americans and even better news for Blacks is that their real wages are going up after losing ground under 8 years of Obama.
From The Daily Caller
Reines speculated that someone like Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren would be good at tapping youth enthusiasm but went on to say he is fearful that Trump and GOP policies will begin to animate millennials, specifically when they see their taxes go down.
Donald Trump and his people want everyone to shut up, get over the election, Hillary Clinton go away, that’s in their best interest, but that’s not how it works. We are supposed to oppose what we disagree with. And I hope millennials don’t fall into a lull of accepting, this is what it is. God knows how many of them will see their taxes go down and base it just on that. But yeah, they are a key demographic that voted oddly in 2016, and I am not sure people understand how to get them to vote productively. In 2020.
Who are you going to believe, liberals or your lying paycheck? And what happens as we deport more criminal aliens and those who overstayed their visas? The crime rate will fall. Make no mistake Reines is not the only Democrat living in fear. They all are.
