Ice Takes HIGH PROFILE Illegals Into Custody

ICE is playing no favorites when it comes to deporting illegals.

They treat everyone equally, including the two illegal activists who have been considered untouchable prior to President Trump. Jean Montrevil, a Haitian national and Ravidath Ragbir from Trinidad were arrested and are being processed for deportation or have already been deported. Both men are activists with the New Sanctuary Coalition of New York City.  The New Sanctuary Coalition of New York City is a group of religious and social organizations who work to protect illegal aliens.

Both men have lived in the open for years and no one ever bothered them. Other illegal immigrant activists say the arrests were political in nature but ICE denies that. Both men have previous convictions. There is a bit of a coincidence here also. Ragbir was sentenced to 2 1/2 years and he appealed the charges and was denied by 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Maryanne Barry. To be more precise 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Maryanne Trump Barry, the president’s sister. Isn’t that special?

Montrevil, who co-founded the New Sanctuary coalition, was taken into custody in early January. Activists claimed that he had an understanding with ICE that he would not be arrested while he appealed his deportation order. He was deported last Tuesday. Montrevil served a stretch in prison for drug possession.

The week before Montrevil’s removal, ICE arrested Ravidath Ragbir when he went to the offices of ICE to check in. Ragbir was convicted for wire fraud in a $400,000 deal. Alina Das, Ragbir’s attorney, says his client would not have been targeted under Obama. (No shit, Sherlock) That doesn’t mean he shouldn’t have been.

Ragbir’s wife Amy Gottlieb, an immigration lawyer said:

“Like Jean [Montrevil] and thousands of other immigrants caught in ICE raids, Ravi threatens no one. On the contrary, he and other immigrant leaders have lead their communities with dignity and courage during a brutal time. That’s why they were snatched — and why ICE wants to deport them”

Activists called hi arrest and pending deportation as political but ICE said Ragbir had exhausted all of his appeals and lost them all and therefore would have to return to Trinidad.
