Robert De Niro was at it again last night. He was at an awards dinner to honor Al Pacino when he decided it was time to bash Trump and his supporters. This time there was a major difference.
The moment he started in the crowd began booing him loudly. My suggestion is that we start a GoFundMe campaign for him but instead of contributing 1 or 2 IQ points each. He doesn’t need the money but when it comes to grey matter, he is woefully lacking and can use all the help we can give him. I can spare three points.
Now, he’s up to nearly four. What do you say?
De Niro was a presenter at the American Icon Awards, there to honor fellow actor Al Pacino. But as usual, he interrupted his speech to bash President Trump.
“You didn’t think you were gonna’ completely get away without a f*** Trump moment, did you?” the “Taxi Driver” actor said.
“The individual who currently purports to lead America is not worthy of any tribute,” De Niro said at the Beverly Wilshire hotel on Sunday. Some loud boos rained down upon him.
“Unless you think of his impeachment and imprisonment as a sort of tribute — now that’s how you can make America great again.”
In his lead-up to the Trump trashing, De Niro said: “The producers of the American Icon Awards call it a tribute to individuals who lead America. Not so fast,” according to a clip posted by TMZ. “[These icons] don’t lead America. Maybe they should, but they do fill their own essential roles. People of great individual accomplishments who give us examples to look up to. They’ve earned our respect and admiration, and they deserve this tribute.”
