Sen Rand Paul has suggested a great idea. Since Nancy Pelosi is scared out of her wits to have President Trump talk about the border, a battle Democrats are losing badly and now refuses to host the SOTU, why not hold it in the Senate.
Of course that does not have the space to hold the Democratic House, but so what? The address will be about making this country better for Americans, a vision that Democrats do not share, so their presence is unnecessary. Give the president a podium from which to make his case for the border wall.
He can also speak to other topics that liberals hate like free speech and the Second Amendment.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) sent a letter to President Donald Trump on Wednesday asking him to postpone the State of the Union Address to a Joint Session of Congress scheduled for January 29. Pelosi cited security concerns over the partial government shutdown.
Pelosi said both the U.S. Secret Service and the Department of Homeland Security have not been funded for 26 days now – with critical departments hamstrung by furloughs. Therefore, they would not be ready for the speech. (Author’s note: Both the DHS and SS says Pelosi is lying)
Pelosi posted her letter to Trump on Twitter, saying, “Today, I wrote to @realDonaldTrump recommending that we delay the State of the Union until after government re-opens, as the @SecretService, the lead federal agency for #SOTU security, faces its 26th day without funding.” (Text version of letter below tweet.)

The Department of Homeland Security later refuted the Speaker’s claims — The Secret Service says it is readyfor the SOTU Address
On Thursday morning Senator Rand Paul said President Trump should move the State of the Union Address to the US Senate.
The FOX and Friends audience loved the idea!
