President Donald Trump has sharply criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin following a devastating wave of attacks on Ukraine, describing the Russian leader’s actions as reckless and deeply troubling.
The large-scale offensive involved nearly 400 drones and missiles, striking major Ukrainian cities and leaving at least 13 dead, including several children. The attack marked one of the most intense bombardments since the war began.
Speaking from New Jersey, Trump expressed his disapproval, stating that he was “not happy” with Putin’s actions and questioning the Russian leader’s judgment. He later intensified his criticism online, accusing Putin of having “gone absolutely crazy.”
Trump also took aim at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, claiming that his handling of the situation has worsened tensions. He blamed the ongoing conflict on the leadership of Putin, Zelenskyy, and President Joe Biden, asserting that the war would have never started had he remained in office.
In response to the escalating violence, Trump is reportedly exploring new sanctions against Russia and warned that Putin’s continued aggression could lead to dire consequences, including economic collapse and global isolation.
The strike came as Russia and Ukraine completed a large-scale prisoner exchange, releasing roughly 1,000 detainees each. However, diplomatic progress remains elusive, with Russia rejecting a proposed ceasefire brokered by U.S. officials.
Global leaders are urging renewed efforts to de-escalate the conflict and prevent further bloodshed, as the war continues to destabilize the region and strain international relations.
