A still unnamed substitute teacher has been fired from his position after a video, posted to Facebook, emerged showing him body slamming one of the students at Western Guilford Middle School in North Carolina.
The student, Jose Escudero, can be seen in the video and says it all started over a box of chocolates.
The teacher took them away and threw them in the sink, and Escudero waited until the end of class to retrieve them — this prompted the altercation.
The 12-year-old student says he placed the box in his bookbag when the teacher attempted to snatch them away, which didn’t work. Then, according to Escudero, the substitute grabbed him by his shirt and pinned him against the wall. Then threw him over his shoulder onto the ground.
The young man showed the bruises left on his body of the attack to a local news station.

Tina Firesheets, a spokeswoman for the Guilford County School system, has said that the teacher is no longer working in their district.
“This kind of behavior toward a student is disturbing and unacceptable,” said Chief of Staff Nora Carr. “We reported the behavior to law enforcement and will no longer employ this person as a substitute teacher or in any other GCS position.”

Both Jose Escudero and his mom will be seeking legal action against the school and the teacher in question.
I know kids, especially 12-year-olds, can be little smarta**es but this is entirely uncalled for. I hope they throw the book at him! and besides being fired, how is he not at least in jail right now?
Am I wrong in my thought process on this? Do you think it’s totally OK and justified? Shoutout in the comments below.
