Former MLB star Kevin Youkilis has taken aim at Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez following her response to a violent terror attack on Jewish protesters in Boulder, Colorado. The attack, carried out with Molotov cocktails and a homemade flamethrower, left multiple people injured and is now under federal investigation.
Youkilis, a two-time World Series champion and outspoken advocate against antisemitism, accused Ocasio-Cortez of repeating the same “virtue signaling” rhetoric without taking real action. He questioned her silence on ongoing anti-Israel demonstrations in her home city and demanded more accountability from leaders in combating rising hate.
He publicly challenged the congresswoman to speak out against what he described as radical mobs openly calling for violence against Jews in New York City. In his statement, Youkilis implied that repeated posts after violent events fall short of what the moment demands and called on her to show genuine leadership by condemning extremist rhetoric before more harm occurs.
The exchange has amplified growing frustration among Jewish leaders and advocates who say political responses to antisemitic violence have become performative, lacking real solutions or preventive action.
