Army Sgt. La David T. Johnson was killed while serving in Nigeria. He was a Green Beret and one of it’s finest. New facts surrounding his death have come out that proves that Sgt Johnson was a soldier’s soldier and a man with few peers.
We already knew he had fought valiantly, but what we didn’t know was that he was still fighting even after having been shot 18 times.
That is utterly amazing and Congress should bestow the Medal of Honor on him immediately. If you had seen that in a movie, you would have laughed it off as impossible but there is no denying the strength and the courage and never say die attitude the finest in our military has always displayed.

The U.S – Niger Patrol had been looking for a senior Islamic State member who had ties to al-Qaeda. After going to a location where he was last seen, the patrol had stopped in a village to get some food and water.
According to We Are the Mighty, “The U.S. military believes someone in the village may have tipped off attackers to the presence of U.S. commandoes and Nigerien forces in the area, setting in motion the ambush.”
The ambush took place on Oct. 4, about 120 miles from the Nigerian capital of Niamey.
It was then that Johnson and three other Americans were killed: Staff Sgt. Bryan C. Black, 35, of Puyallup, Washington; Staff Sgt. Jeremiah W. Johnson, 39, of Springboro, Ohio; and Staff Sgt. Dustin M. Wright, 29, of Lyons, Georgia.
Four US soldiers and four Nigerian soldiers were killed in the ambush with 2 more US soldiers and 8 Nigerian troops were wounded. After troops went in to recover the bodies, they were able to find three of the soldiers but not Johnson. Speculation ran from being shot at close range to being captured. His body was found later among some bushes where Johnson had tried to take cover.
Witnesses said that Johnson and two Nigerian soldiers tried to escape and that after being shot 18 times in what is believed to be machine gun fire, Sgt Johnson kept firing.
Liberals say that illegal aliens are the finest America has to offer. They are dead wrong. It’s our soldiers like Army Sgt. La David T. Johnson, who are truly the best we have to offer.
