Democratic presidential candidate, Amy Klobuchar says i elected she would increase the number of refugees admitted each year by 500%. Why do Democrats believe we think this is a good thing? The idea is to reduce those who will be dependent on our giveaways. or worse yet, committing copious crimes. She forgot to mention open borders and amnesty for all.
President Trump has limited refugees to 18,000 a year. Klobuchar wants to bump that up to 110,000 to start. That was the level when Obama left office. There would be no vetting based on a refugees ability to support themselves. There is a law on the books disallowing refugees admittance if they can’t support themselves but whoever the president at the time can dictate the enforcement of those laws by simply ignoring them.
The good news for Klobuchar is that even as tens of thousands of refugees or illegal aliens are filling up the country, none of them can afford to live in her neighborhood. The rest of us will have to deal with them, not her.
While Minneapolis has resettled thousands of refugees since 2009, almost none live in Marcy-Holmes, where Klobuchar owns a home with her husband.
Nearly 85 percent of all residents in Klobuchar’s neighborhood are native-born American citizens and of the less than ten percent of foreign-born residents, half arrived from China, India, Korea, Germany, Thailand, and Malaysia — countries from where only five refugees have been resettled in Minnesota in the last decade and none of whom have been resettled in Minneapolis much less Klobuchar’s neighborhood.
In 2015, at the height of the migrant crisis spurred by conflict in Syria and Libya, Klobuchar pushed an effort to bring 65,000 Syrian refugees to the U.S., the overwhelming majority of which would have undergone lax vetting procedures.
