After Fox News terminated Tucker Carlson’s show at the end of last month, reports surfaced that Twitter CEO Elon Musk had approached Carlson about forming a partnership.
According to Axios, Carlson is considering letting his closest associates sue Fox News for keeping him under contract until January 2025, at which point he will be paid $20 million year to be off the air.
A statement from Bryan Freedman, Carlson’s well-known attorney and the same one retained by the recently ousted CNN co-host Don Lemon, read: “The idea that anyone is going to silence Tucker and stop him from talking to his audience is beyond ridiculous.”
The piece claimed that since Carlson’s demotion at Fox News, he has been “planning a media empire of his own.” However, he is powerless until they release him from his agreement.
According to some in the know, Carlson is considering launching a subscription-based media venture that would allow him to communicate with his supporters directly, much like former Fox News show host Bill O’Reilly does.
There were rumors that Musk and Carlson discussed forming a business partnership, but no specifics were provided. According to the article, Carlson has received offers from competing platforms like Newsmax and Rumble that would have paid him more than his current salary at Fox News.
Carlson’s close associates allegedly begged him to join them in their assault on Fox News. So far, he has discouraged them from doing so, insisting instead that the problem be handled properly and in silence. The Daily Wire has spoken with many individuals familiar with Carlson, all of whom confirm this.
Axios was told by insiders, “His group is getting ready for war.” Carlson wants freedom and is planning to “let loose” his pals to assault the network.
After being removed from the air, Carlson stated in a statement that he planned to shift his attention to reporting on issues that receive less airtime on television news.
War, civil freedoms, new science, population change, corporate power, and natural resources are all examples of “big issues that will shape our future,” but “almost never discussed,” he added. When was the last time any of these topics were actually talked about? It’s been a very long time. That sort of discussion has no place in American journalism. When it comes to what’s best for them, both parties and their funders are in complete agreement, and they work together to silence any opposition.
“Honest people become powerful when they say what is true in a calm, unashamed way,” he remarked. “At the same time, those who have been lying to attempt to silence them are diminishing and losing ground. That is an unbreakable rule, period. As a rule, the truth triumphs. Where do true Americans still congregate? Although there aren’t many options left, there are still some. As long as you have ears to hear, there is still a chance.
His final words in the message were “See you soon.”
