Fox News’ Catherine Herridge revealed that the network has obtained a letter drafted by former FBI Director James Comey about his “exoneration statement” regarding Hillary Clinton and it may contain evidence that proves he actually and actively let her off the hook.
We’ve all speculated for months and now it may finally be here!
According to the anchor the draft shows two ways the FBI edited the statement in an attempt to ease into the accusations against Clinton during the campaign trail.
According to Fox News, one edit details: “In an early draft, Comey said it was “reasonably likely” that “hostile actors” gained access to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private email account. That was changed later to say the scenario was merely “possible.””
And the second edit: “Another edit showed language was changed to describe the actions of Clinton and her colleagues as “extremely careless” as opposed to “grossly negligent.” This is a key legal distinction.”
He added, “The edited statement deleted the reference to gross negligence – a legal threshold for mishandling classified material – and instead replaced it with an exculpatory sentence.”
The Blaze details why this is important,
Allies of the president have been building a case that the FBI and the Department of Justice are biased against Trump and that the investigations into Russian election interference and alleged collusion with the Trump campaign have been irreparably tainted. This report, if accurate, provides some support for that supposition.
Despite the fact that she didn’t win and no matter how badly the DNC and the left wanted it, she was provided special treatment; that much can now at least be proved. It opens a broader door, perhaps just speculation, as to what else the FBI and James Comey did for her.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, folks… we’ll continue to see this sort of intel coming out. It’s all a matter of squeezing the last drop of juice from the lemon.
