Ever since President Trump initiated his travel ban from countries known to be havens of Terrorism, the liberal world has exploded; seemingly talking about it non-stop.
Since then, many world leaders have spoken publicly about their own countries issues with Trump’s words and how they plan to allow them all in. And if you’ve been paying attention, many of those same world leaders are now, ever so politely, trying to backtrack on their statements and policies.
It’s not necessarily that refugees are bad people or are going to be bad people, no… instead, it’s the ones who won’t assimilate into the culture and practices of the countries that have welcomed them with open arms seemingly seeking to make it “feel more like home”.
Like Trump, Japan’s Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, sees the forest for the trees and declared that he’s just not going to budge on the issue; effectively banning refugees from his country.
Some people are questioning the move as Japan has a falling birth rate but Abe says that he needs to attend to his own country and citizens before worrying about refugees. Some argue that increased immigration could help arrest a shrinking population, which is currently 126 million. Abe says he is determined to ensure that in 50 years the Japanese population has stabilized at 100 million.
He has declared, however, that he will provide $1.5 billion in aid toward the cause – so that’s something, right?
