PMSDNC Host Chris Matthews Accused of Making Women Feel Like “Battered Wives Syndrome” Victims

According to three of his show’s guests and two former producers, Chris Matthews who objectifies women and makes them feel like victims of the “battered wives syndrome.” One of the producers said that there are many more than the three women who spoke exclusively to the Daily Caller, but that they are afraid of having their careers destroyed. He points to the many Fox News women who have not been able to find a job after making accusations against the network. They say that Matthews would rate his female guests based on their looks.

The interviews conducted by the Daily Caller show that Matthews is a tyrant who flies off the handle by even small mistakes and that he often makes inappropriate sexual comments to women both on his staff and those who appear as guests on his program. Both NBC producers requested  anonymity out of concern for their future careers. One is looking for a job in the media and the other is still associated with NBC.

Matthews and MSNBC had to settle with a former employee who accused Matthews of sexual harassment for comments he made in the presence of witnesses. The alleged settlement was for $40,000. MSNBC claims the amount was smaller and that Matthews received a formal reprimand, which seems to be an admission that the woman’s claim was valid.

    From The Daily Caller

An MSNBC spokesman confirmed Saturday the company made a separation-related payment to one of Chris Matthews employees after the woman complained about sexual harassment.

Two sources familiar with the situation told The Daily Caller that Matthews paid $40,000 to settle with an assistant producer on his show, “Hardball with Chris Matthews,” in 1999 after she accused him of harassment. An MSNBC spokesperson contested that claim to the Caller, saying the company instead paid significantly less as part of a severance package.

Matthews often made inappropriate comments about women in public.

    From The Daily Caller

In a 2008 New York Times profile, Matthews introduced himself to actress Kerry Washington by giving her a business card and telling her that Phil Griffin, the head of MSNBC, wanted to get her on the show because she is “black” and “beautiful.” Matthews later referred to the actress as a “total knockout.”

Matthews has also creepily told then-CNBC reporter Erin Burnett to get closer to the camera and asserted that vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is “electric” but could be “hotter.” Just last year, he was caught on a hot mic admiring Melania Trump’s “runway walk,” and in 2017 he noted that acting Attorney General Sally Yates is “attractive, obviously.”

All five people who spoke to the Daily Caller said that not only did Matthews make inappropriate comments about woman, he was also verbally abusive to all those who worked on his show. I guess they don’t give him the same tingle down his leg Obama gave him.
