There have been numerous books written by wannabe celebrities like Michael Wolff and Omarosa Manigault-Newman. Both books were exposed as fiction, but Wolff got a long ride from his book before it all blew up in his face. Manigault wasn’t so lucky.
Even liberals couldn’t find her book credible and her 15 minutes of fame, lasted only 23 seconds. Now, the Daily Beast is reporting that President Trump is writing a book and that book will have a lot of stories never told before. He will confirm other stories and supply details about others. He has no plans to publish the book until he leaves office.
But now, according to a report from The Daily Beast, President Trump is working on plans to flip the script and release his own tell-all book once he is out of office that promises to dish out all sorts of previously undisclosed or unconfirmed information, while also setting the record straight and settling political scores.
As has become typical these days, the report was centered on quotes from anonymous individuals, making the claims contained therein more difficult to confirm. Nevertheless, word is Trump has been discussing his intentions to write and publish a post-presidency, tell-all memoir since at least the middle of 2017, probably around the time that the flood of anti-Trump books hit bookshelves.
One person alleged to have overheard the president discussing the post-presidency book told The Daily Beast, “He sounded excited about it. He said it would sell better than even ‘The Art of the Deal.’”
Another unnamed source, who is reportedly a personal friend of the president, said Trump had explained to him that the book would not only settle scores with foes — the media, Democrats, establishment Republicans, non-loyal administration officials, former administration officials — but would also serve to issue corrections to the “fake news” that was contained in many of the anti-Trump books.
But, remember, there may not be any such book. The Daily Beast has been known to be wrong before.
