So you know Franken’s resigned, and you know he just had to say SOMETHING about President Trump during his “farewell speech”. Well old Bernie Sanders just couldn’t help himself and has called for Trump to follow suit — except about the Tax Bill as well as what Trump said years and years ago when he was a private citizen doing “guy talk”.
Like many Democrats, he’s just not happy with this new tax bill.
At first, Sanders didn’t have much to say about the Al Franken stuff… he left it “up to Minnesota” to decide what to do with him but he eventually joined the other high-level Dems in calling for his resignation.
“I think what we’ve got to recognize is that this is a problem not only impacting high profile men,” said Sanders. “What I worry about right now, as we speak, is that in restaurants and in offices all over this country, where you have bosses that are not famous, there is harassment of women. Women are being intimidated, and we need a cultural revolution in this country.”
“We have a President of the United States who acknowledged on a tape, widely seen all over this country, that he assaulted women. So I would hope that maybe the President of the United States might pay attention to what’s going on and also think about resigning,” said Sanders. “But if you point is it’s not just Al Franken, you’re absolutely right.”
Sanders goes on to lambast the “absurd Republican tax proposal,” and you can see how frustrated Sanders is.
The guy lost to someone like Clinton — I can’t believe anyone would still take him seriously. Let’s face one fact, he’d of lost against Trump, too… maybe more.
I don’t know… I laugh at attempts like this. You may not but that’s a personal problem, isn’t it?
